IronPly® Soffit Plant Stand – Part I
July 17th, 2019
Stylish plant stands are always a decorative way to showcase greenery and florals around the home or office. For a modern and sleek design, we used IronPly® Patriot Primed® Soffit panels to construct tall plant stands to flank the front door creating a welcoming entrance. If IronPly® Soffit is not available in your area, IronPly® or SurePly® may also be used for this project.
To get started, you will need the following supplies:
IronPly® Soffit Table saw
3 – 2” x 2” x 8’ treated lumber Straight edge
¾” – 1” exterior panels (base) Clamps
Wood glue Measuring tape
¾” Staples or finishing nails Pencil
Cordless nail/staple gun Exterior stain
8 – 1 ½” – 2” exterior screws Exterior paint
Drill bits Polyurethane
Cordless drill Paint brushes
Circular saw Paint sponges
Remembering to measure twice and cut once, IronPly® Soffit is cut into 4 tapered panels to create the desired shape of our plant stand. Next, using a table saw, grooves are cut in measured segments along the panel for a modern detail.
