“Spring Has Sprung” – Part III

May 14th, 2015

Nothing says Spring like fragrant, brightly colored flowers, and we all like to display them to beautify our yard and home as a festive Spring welcome.

In this segment, we have constructed a wooden flower box to hold a flower pot.  We used some scrap pieces of 1/2″ and 1/4″ pine, and 7mm RevBead® Reversible Plywood Beadboard to build our box.  Once we decided what size we wanted, we measured and cut the pieces for assembly.  1” staples and wood glue were used as fasteners, after a light sanding of the edges.

Two coats of white paint were applied, followed by a coat of polyurethane for additional protection for use outside.  After allowing time to completely dry, we added a pot of gorgeous red gerbera daisies.  This will be a beautiful accent to any patio or front porch.
