Celebrate Memorial Day

May 21st, 2015

It is the unofficial start to the summer season, but Memorial Day is so much more than that.  It is a day of remembrance of all who have died while serving in our country’s armed services.

Observed each year on the last Monday in May, Memorial Day became an official federal holiday in 1971.  It originated as Decoration Day after the Civil War to commemorate the Confederate and Union soldiers who died in the war.

Everyone here at Patriot Timber Products would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who have served our country and paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
